The Eytino sweaters & sweatshirts edit
The sweater bench is where the Eytino studio does its fall and winter thinking. Oversized crew neck sweatshirts with a dropped shoulder, hoodies with a kangaroo pocket, striped pullovers and colour block knits that read as a piece rather than a basic. We grade all of them to sizes 14 through 32 and cut the oversized ones long in the body so they do not ride up at the hem.
A sweatshirt here is polyester or a cotton blend, and the page prints the percentages the maker gives. A waffle knit stretches and then rests, a fleece-lined sweatshirt does not stretch at all. Neither is a coat: a sweater layers under one.
How this cut runs. Oversized sweatshirts are meant to be big. Take your usual size for a slouchy fit. Ribbed sweaters fit close and rely on stretch.
